Introduction
Ducati Kämna is a small company in the north of Germany, next to the beautiful city of Bremen,directly beside Highway A1 from Bremen to Hamburg,exit Otterssberg-Stuckenborstel,25 km far from Bremen and 80 kms from Hamburg. We have a lot of "wonderfull" straight roads around for full throttle test rides! An engine concept which runs here we can supply anywhere of the world! These roads are surely a real hard test area. This is one of our main experiences from nearly 30 years of building Ducati engines and special parts. Not far from our place are some race tracks; Assen in the Netherlands and Motopark Oschersleben in Germany. Several times a year we go there for riding and testing new developments.Also we are present at different other Race tracks
in europe all over. Furthermore we get feedback from other parts of the world regarding our engines an special parts. Take a look at our gallery. There you will find customers from everywhere which are satisfied with our service and quality.
In the meantime we have lots of customers all over the world which are satisfied with our experience, service and quality that we continually improve. Meanwhile the staff members are 5 people to have short communication ways and full control about our works and parts. We also have a big homepage which we update in time. In our Online-Shop you can order special parts or get in contact to other Ducati and Aprilia owners by our bulletin board. Our parts and services are distributed world wide. Lots of our overhauled and/or tuned engines are in action on roads and Race tracks in the US, Australia, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Scandinavia aso. Of course, we test our developments on the race track. This is very important to us and a major impact. It´s the best assurance for high quality work and products!

HISTORY:Here is a short story about me and us, from the start to today…
My (Rüdiger Kämna) mechanic experiences started when I was seven. In this age I got the first motorcycle and found out that this is what I want to do. To drive and to fix it by myself. With 11 I started to help in a car garage and one special man there showed me welding, diagnostic on car engines, also my first experience on a turning lathe, valve adjustment, carburettor adjustment and several things like ignition timing and so on. With 13 years I had my first customers with 750 Honda Four, Triumph Bonneville, Norton Commando, 250 and 350 Yamaha two stroke engines and owned and drove myself a 500 Mach II Kawasaki which goes 200 kmh. This was my first real challenge.
After half a year I had fixed the bike with frame and engine modifications. The middle cylinder did not collapse by thermal problems any more! The frame was stable with big front wheel axle, steering head and swingarm modifications. Several other activities started with 14-15-16 years. Building glasfiber fairings, seats and mudguards and so on. Also a bit race experience with 15-16-17 years in cross and trials. With 16 I finished school and started my education in precision engineering. It contains material analysing, drilling, grinding, milling, heat treatment,hardening, designing and constructing parts, quality tests and so on. With 18 I started up with Ducati and owned a bevel. Business got bigger and I got more and more customers and I fixed the bikes beside the work. First time in Italy was with the age of 20. With 19 I finished my education. I worked for learning more and more about bikes and engines. I have been at BMW in Munich for quality controls, at Maico Pfaffingen for engine prototyping and dyno bench works and at Zündapp in Nürnberg. With 21 I started my own business with Ducati. This was in 1981. Since 1981 we only work on Ducatis and since 1998 on Aprilia bikes, too. In 1985 we started up with racing activities. First title was the first German championship in the Battle of Twin class 1988.
In 1995 we won the 24 hours Race in Magny Cours/France. In addition we had much success with several projects like 851-888-926,916-955-985, 996SPS, 999-1078 Testa Stretta, 900-944-985 SS-2V, 750-784-800 F1, Bevel vintage and Bevel Racers. Our newest work is called 2V Testa Demon with 1000/1100/1200 cc.
