996 Biposto tuning always starts with a lighter flywheel, open airbox channel intakes and a big volume airboxfilter 4 valve race. This modifications increases the complete power range and are the simplest and cheapest start up variations.
Changed exhaust systems with their tuning are naturally basic condition. We can supply a suitable megazone eprom with eight co-ordinated zones according to the configurations.
To go on with increasing performance the best method are cam shafts. We can offer ingenious cams which raises the hp from 118 to 132-134 without opening the engine! These cams are specially manufactured for the Biposto models and develop their performance at very low revs so the conrods must not be changed! The result are 132-134 hp with an 52mm exhaust system at 8500 rpm! Torque is about 118 nm at 6700 rpm!
An appropriate eprom can be supplied for a surcharge of 100 €. So it is a plug and play solution!

If the Bipo should be tuned up for higher revs the conrods must be changed to SPS or Carrillo rods. Naturally the crank must be finebalanced then. With SPS cams the character is changed up to more rpm. Maximum rev is about 11000.
Then all further steps are like 996 S/SPS.
The engine housings a.s.o. are the same between Bipo and SPS so that the tuning possibilitys are very extensive as at SPS described.
