Actual garage impressions: DMC Ignition on bevel
Week 45, 2006
Caused by trouble with the old ignition we mounted a DMC ignition unit to this bevel. These functions, if correctly adjusted, very reliable.
This Ducati was developed in 1992 from Kent Jörnevall,Sweden. We rebuild the engine in the same year and till that time the engine is running without big problems! As you can see it has not so much to do with the original! The goal was to make a fast running and reliable street bike, easy to handle in everyday-life. Following details have been changed:
Cantilever frame
Öhlins shock, full adjustable
M1R front fork
Keihin FCR solo carbs
Double ignition
2 in 1 exhaust system
86,6mm bore
Nicasil coated cylinders
Imola camshafts
Straight cut primary drive
Headporting with 44mm intake and 40mm exhaust valves
Diagram HP
The dyno test running was not with full rpms, because the baby is meanwhile a bit old and we dont like to stress her to much now. But as you can see the power curve is not going down up to 82 HP and 8200 rpms. Where peak is going down I
closed throttle. Engine goes without trouble to 9200 rpm. Therefore it may be realistic that the baby has approx. 85 HP, what is really good for that old condition.
