996 SPS with 1078ccm Testastretta long stroke engine.


A customer from Munich gave us the order to transform his 996 SPS into a modern torque hammer. A goal was full road fitness, 160 HP and low noise exhaust system. That we could convert sovereign. Here a 999R engine with long stroke crankshaft was used. The pistons and compression were adapted accordingly, the cylinder lengths were modified and the cam times and so on in-measured finely. The whole breathes by a 54mm Akrapovic exhaust system which was accordingly adapted. Result is a wonderfully more harmoniously and lunatically strong engine that runs softly and calmly. The torque is with 125 Nm! The motorcycle goes accelerating with long magnesium swingarm to 160 km/h on the rear wheel! We wish much fun to the man!!


This tuning means the road variant. The engine is not equipped with head modifications, also the throttle body (54 stock used)is not changed. Here lies still more power. Developable!
